Hollie Sloss
Principal
Hollie joined the Firm’s Entrepreneurial Business Solutions Group in 2019. Her background includes over 25 years of experience as a CPA in both public accounting and private industry. After passing the CPA exam on the first attempt, she began her career with PriceWaterhouse Coopers Chicago and Denver offices Emerging Business Group. Then, founded and served clients in her own CPA practice for 15 years, providing tax and business advisory services. Concurrently, she co-founded a start-up technology and product manufacturing company, serving as CFO up through its eventual sale.
Hollie most recently served as a CFO of a company wishing to sell their business. Working closely with them to build value and integrity in their financial picture, then led the team to negotiate the deal and clear due diligence hurdles for a successful sale of the company.
As the CPA “in the family”, Hollie has grown up in, married into, started, owned, generationally transferred, and sold a family business. This has equipped her with unique insights into the needs and dynamics of family-owned businesses.
As an entrepreneur herself, Hollie is always eager to work with owner-managed small businesses at all stages from start-up to significant growth to maximize profits, minimize tax and gain wealth. She most enjoys working closely with business owners and their internal accounting staff as a trusted member of their team; assisting them in building integrity in and understanding their financials, listening to their business concerns, researching, analyzing, and presenting scenarios to assist with business and tax decisions and walking with them to achieve their strategic goals.
You will find her in her free time spending time with her husband, 4 kids, and extended family. She enjoys hiking, running, and all things active through the beautiful parks in Kentuckiana. She spends her downtime reading the Bible, tax manual, or listening to podcasts about business strategy.
